Plug and Play Printers: Printers are now configured in MySCK Portal, and do not require manual actions in QPM. The current changes will decouple MySCK Portal and QPM from the printer specifics. When the next printer manufacturer or model appears on the market, only KB Printer changes will be needed.  MySCK Portal Administration sections related to printers are redesigned:

  • Global data section includes Printer Manufacturers with all known printer manufacturers.
  • Printer manufacturers section includes Printer Models with all known printer models and attributes.

Also in this release: Legacy EPCS above store configuration and admin tools have been removed.

The same playbook accepts the TeamViewer license instead of relying on the Remote Device Manager’s (RDM) automation action. QPM Instore API (POS and External Forecast) can now be secured with encryption and authentication. The new tab “Security” in the Chain Editor and in the Site Editor in the MySCK portal. Site settings take precedence over Chain settings if Site settings are explicitly configured. If Site settings are “inherited”, then Chain settings are effective for all Sites in the Chain.  The settings are:

  • HTTPS Only - if enabled, http QPM Instore API requests are rejected, and https QPM Instore API requests are accepted.

  • API Requires Authentication - if enabled, QPM Instore API requests without a valid “apiKey” header are rejected, and QPM Instore API requests with a valid “apiKey” header are accepted.

  • Instore API Key - once generated, should be stored in a secure place and used as an “apiKey” header value in each QPM Instore API request.
